Goodbye to a very special year

Dear friends, 

The year 2018 was a memorable one.

For starters, a sad one, as we lost our awesome view over the Amsterdam harbour.

Sunny side, we lost our view to our dear clients Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein (PVH). They were so happy with our online services that they decided to move the entire EMEA head-office just to be close to us. Two huge buildings were built next to us; the PVH campus was born. 

Same thing for our new client New Balance. Brexit, the Dutch weather as well as the wide range of our online- and print management qualities made them leave good old Manchester and move into our office building. Or might it be our flashy discobal which is a magnet towards our clients?

Nevertheless: Great to have you around, welcome!

Note: don’t worry, you don’t have to become our neighbor if you want to become our client. We like a bit of fresh air and take our electric Bíro for a spin to visit you at your location.   

During the year, the growing demand for content creation, photography and digital assets made us expand our team. Headcount December 31st 2018: 12 team members and counting.

And counting?

YES, as our new superstars Irthe and Anne will join the Cake in the beginning of 2019. Good luck ladies.  

Besides our online geeks, we also house a few addicts to paper and the beauty of offline branding. These well experienced print experts managed really cool projects during 2018 such as the biannual production, distribution and installation of the SuitSupply instore visuals. A project which we successfully produce decentralized in three continents; USA, Asia and Europe.

And what about our loyal client citizenM Hotels who opened a record number of hotels over the last year and will do again coming year. Our team is responsible for the creative design and the production of all printed items. 

Colourcake Digital will bring new services such as video and the production of personalized and editorial content in 2019. Furthermore, we have teamed up with data specialists, who approach photoshoots based on successful keywords (among other cool stuff).

Colourcake Print and Branding will focus on the expansion of their supplier network in Asia and the West Coast of the USA;  meaning loads of noodles and burgers in 2019.  

Moët Hennessy, Nike, Hunkemöller, as well as Vondel Hotels, 10Days, Vero Moda, Penn&Ink NY, Shiwi, Nahka and many many more contributed to an exciting year for which we are truly grateful.

Last but not least; A BIG BIG bow and thanks to our Colourcake team members for your true commitment, endless effort and priceless humor.
