2nd Piece of Cake: Rapid

2nd Piece of Cake: Rapid

Rapid, working 24 hours every day

Working 24 hours a day…

“Fashion never sleeps, so neither do we” has been our motivation since day one, but do you understand why?

It is time to unlock the 2nd piece of cake, the second part that defines us: Rapid

We get a huge amount of last-minutes requests. Some of those requests have deadlines that are quite challenging, but we do everything we can to help you. Besides the hard work of our creative designers, we have also set up a collaboration with two very talented freelance designers. Kathy and Elvis help us to meet the deadline demands of our clients. By doing this, we offer you, our client, a 24-hour service.

Kathy and Elvis, working from Manilla, Philippines, have been working with us since 2015 and have been responsible for clients such as Tommy Hilfiger, Nike and Calvin Klein. They specialize in Content management and asset production.

Work when you sleep

The collaboration with Kathy and Elvis enables us to meet every deadline, no matter what time you [all of a sudden] need campaign imagery or web modifications. We help you or your brand improve or adjust 24 hours a day.

Working all the way from Manilla means Kathy and Elvis can work while we are asleep and vice versa. This means our clients can go to bed while we finish up different projects for them. The amount of work you can do while you are asleep is enormous.

Because of the succesful collaboration with Kathy and Elvis, we would like to introduce you to them with ‘The 9-who-are-you-and-how-are-you-questions”

First some ‘fun facts’ about these talented designers…

Content Management & Asset production

1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Kathy: I am Katherine Tasico, and my nickname is Kathie. I live in Mandaluyong City, Philippines. I am a Web and Content Manager working with different clients in Manila, Singapore, and the Netherlands. I have a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology.

Elvis: I’m Elvis, multimedia designer based in Manila. I’m a college graduate major in hotel and restaurant management and because for the love of art, I am now in this industry.

2. How have you met the people from Colourcake?

Kathy: I originally started at a consulting company based in Quezon City where Colourcake was one of the clients. When I left the company, Robert reached out to me and asked if I could still work as part of Colourcake. I agreed and the rest is history.

Elvis: I have worked with Colourcake way back and I have met and worked with a couple of them when they were visiting Manila.

3. For how long have you been working for Colourcake?

Kathy: I have been working for Colourcake for almost 4 years.

Elvis: If I count the numbers, I think a little of three years working with them.

4. What are your main tasks in the projects you do for Colourcake?

Kathy: I mainly work as a Content Manager for Tommy Hilfiger, one of Colourcake’s main clients. I do content updates and implement new pages as needed. I also sometimes help in asset production used for digital ads of other Colourcake clients like Nike.

Elvis: What I do to Colourcake is the transferring of images/assets to different web content such as website header, EDMs, online banners.

5. Who is your favorite person at Colourcake?

Kathy: Robert. He is the coolest guy I met. He is easy to talk with and very approachable. He also genuinely cares not just about my professional career, but also my personal life. He likes to ask about how I’m doing and what I’m up to every time he has a chance. I remember he was so fascinated to learn that I was investing my money in livestock farming. He was also genuinely surprised and happy to learn that I am also getting married this year. Hands down, he is the best boss I ever have.

Elvis: That person is Robert but now he is replaced by Charlotte haha! No hard feelings Robert.

6. What do you like best working with Colourcake?

Kathy: The culture. It does not feel like you have a boss who always reminds you of deadlines and work-related stuff. The laid-back, chill aura that seems to emanate in their office every time I see pictures of the team in the Netherlands. It feels like it is very easy to work in an office with that environment. They also have high-profile clients which say a lot about the quality of services the company offers.

Elvis: The best part of working with Colourcake are the people. They are very professional and very approachable. Also, their projects are setting the industry standards and on par with the trends in this age.

7. Which clients have you worked for?

Kathy: I have worked on Penn&Ink, Ruby Tuesday, Lilytel, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, and Pandora.

Elvis: In the past, I have work with several Tommy Hilfiger campaigns and now their Nike campaign

8. Do you also work for other clients in Manilla?

Kathy: Yes, but those are only project-based since I am a freelancer. People from Colourcake are nicer though. They are more flexible and are very open-minded.

Elvis: Yes, I do. Some of them are easy to work with and some are I think a little stress out. As for Colourcake, what I like besides they’re kindness, they are very professional and meticulous in what they want. Easy to talk to.

9. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Kathy: I would like to keep working with Colourcake for as long as I can. The company has provided me so much exposure and experience. The people are a joy to work with, and the company helped me remain financially stable while keeping control of my own time.

Elvis: I see myself still working in the industry and still enjoying. Maybe managing my own food business and dipping my feet at the beach!
